Englisch B-movie AF and the best RE as far as I’m concerned. The atmosphere of the desert is great and the scene with the birds and the battle in the streets of Las Vegas force me to give it a fourth star. The fight with the main villain, on the other hand, ends almost before it begins, which is a shame. Also, the ending leaves the door open for a fourth part and I’m quite looking forward to it. ()

Englisch A different director for the third time, a different approach for the third time. Anderson's video game look and Witt's flamboyant jerking off over his own video have been replaced by Mulcahy’s honest craftsmanship with a post-apocalyptic world that admittedly can't match the intensity of Romero's ancestors. However, the film pleases through the unobtrusive detachment of a pure B-movie that relies on a straightforward plot without complicated ties to Umbrella, brisk action with sympathetically eye-catching CGI special effects (the bird attack), and solid work with horror suspense (the ending). Milla is still as stiff as the board she has on her chest, but the rest makes up for it quite well, so now and then a sympathetic catchphrase or a proper rough pose comes through. It’s a pleasant old-school film that has me surprisingly excited for the fourth installment. ()

Englisch Better than the first two parts combined. It just needed to add a pleasantly exaggerated atmosphere, brisk pace, and excellent action, and everything falls into place as it should. And I say that even from the perspective of a viewer to whom zombies find their way very difficult. 70% ()

Englisch A B-movie that pulls out all the stops. No shortage of inspiration from more successful titles, but let’s admit it, the atmosphere from Mad Max was really good for Resident and the bloodthirsty crows (The Birds) were at very least powerful. The action scenes are perhaps the best... of the whole trilogy (because the sun is shining and it’s easier to see through a hole in a head ;-) and the zombie with the sunglasses is darn cool. And Milla is a still really foxy, so she’s something to watch. Russell Mulcahy gave us a pleasant surprise and brought the series to a satisfying end. Well, although... We’ll see. ;-) ()

Englisch It’s no genre milestone happening, but at least it’s a solid ride unlike the second one. Unfortunately, the ending is traditionally awkward (the concept of the superhero finale), but, there is an acceptable sense of humor (solid lines and a few delightful gore scenes). The atmosphere is decent, the zombies are brutally merciless, and Milla Jovovich is still as ugly as ever. At least it is not as stupid and action-lacking as the previous sequel. A decent standard within the genre. ()

Englisch I enjoyed the previous two installments, mainly because they were based on the game but didn’t lack originality. The third installment is a kind of fusion of zombie movies and a softcore version of The Road Warrior. There are more heroic acts and emotional speeches, which is a shame. The theme had a lot more potential. This way it is rather average, and I'm giving it three stars only out of force of habit. ()
