Gemeinsam mit Batou macht sich Major Motoko Kusanagi auf die Suche nach den Hintermännern einer Terrororganisation, die für mehrere Anschläge in Newport City verantwortlich sein sollen. Detective Togusa stößt derweil bei seinen Ermittlungen auf den Techniker Hose, der in einer ganz besonderen Verbindung zu Motoko Kusanagi steht. Togusa, der nahezu komplett menschlich ist und nicht über Cyborg-Technologie verfügt, wäre für Motoko Kusanagi die perfekte Ergänzung ihres Teams. (ProSieben MAXX)

Continuing the trend of the previous two films, Ghost in the Shell Arise: Border 3 - Ghost Tears is nothing but an attempt to show another episode in the life of this special unit. It almost seems like there should be some emotions involved, but I can't help it, for me, these films just don't work. Even the action is not quite there.
