Uku ist ein einsamer Vulkan im Meer. Inspirtiert durch die glücklichen Tierpaare, die er um sich sieht, singt er jeden Tag einen Song, in welchem er hofft, dass sein Traum erfüllt wird und er nicht mehr alleine ist. Allerdings hört ein weiblicher Vulkan Namens Lele sein Lied und denkt, dass es für sie bestimmt ist. Als Uku sein Lied das letzte mal singt, kommt Lele an die Wasseroberfläche, kann aber Uku nicht finden, weil dieser hinter ihr ist... (Disney Cinemagic)

Die Animation ist ganz gut, Die romantische Botschaft ist OK, obwohl ist das Klischee, der Song war nett, aber nur die ersten 2-3 Minuten... Es ist wirklich zu lang und wie ein Kreisel. Wenn ich es eine Stunde lang anhören würde, würde ich verrückt werden! Schwacher Durchschnitt, hauptsächlich wegen guter Animation und ich würde es nicht wieder ansehen... 4.3/10

This is probably the first time that a short accompanying a feature-length animated film was qualitatively somewhere else. The amazing Inside Out was preceded by this weird thing about a singing volcano professing its love to another volcano. As nice as the animation was, the story just killed it all, and besides, the theme song felt like a rip-off of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”.

Let's face it, my mouth just dropped from that animation that has been captivating us from the beginning. Absolutely brilliant depiction of nature, islands, animals. Unfortunately, I just had the feeling that it was all about the amazing animation, because the story was simply a nice indulgence for the viewer. It's not bad, but it doesn't say anything essential. Just a touchingly nice little film that excels in its visual aspect.
