In the future, wars are civilized things. The combatants don't mass huge forces on their neighbors borders and then attack with nuclear weapons: they pick representatives to do the fighting for them. In fact, there's very little dying done at all... but no one seems to mind. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that the warriors are all cute girls (who are very aware of it). Some problems transcend time, though: while one team has developed really cool new fighters, it still takes a special person to be a pilot. The problem is so acute that they're going back through time to locate the most apt and capable girls... and this time they got more than they bargained for: Yamamoto Yohko! It isn't that she's reckless (she is). It isn't that she's very capable (she is). It's just that she sometimes lacks a little bit in the modesty department... and her enemies are all very much the same! (Verleiher-Text)
