Louis, der sich an den Beschränkungen des Lebens als Schwarzer im New Orleans des frühen 19. Jahrhunderts reibt, kann dem Angebot des verwegenen Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid) nicht widerstehen, der ihm die ultimative Fluchtmöglichkeit bietet: die Aufnahme in seine Vampirgemeinschaft. Doch Louis’ berauschende neue Kräfte haben einen gewalttätigen Preis, und die Einführung von Lestats neuestem Sprössling, dem Kindervampir Claudia (Bailey Bass), bringt die beiden bald auf einen jahrzehntelangen Pfad der Rache und Sühne. 7/7 It took almost three decades for the famous saga of Anne Rice to receive a dignified television adaptation. Her Vampire Chronicles (and Mayfair Witches) spawned a total of 18 books. Talk of a sequel to the film Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles had been circulating non-stop since 1994. It is therefore very gratifying that together with her son Christopher, Anne witnessed the beginning of production of several concurrently developing series and approved the scripts, etc. Although she did not live to see their premieres, as she passed away at the end of last year, her work continues to be nurtured by Christopher, who had already established himself as her successor during her lifetime. Together with his mother, he co-wrote, for example, the second and third parts of the novel The Mummy, or Ramses the Damned. So, what is the beginning of the television series Interview with the Vampire like? Quite pleasant. There were indeed many changes, but none contradictory to the essence of the material.
