Biografie

SCOTT DERRICKSON is a filmmaker on the rise. Derrickson wrote the script for remake of the classic horror film Poltergeist.

Derrickson co-wrote and directed the 2005 chiller The Exorcism of Emily Rose, which was loosely based on a true story. The film won the 2005 Saturn Award for Best Horror Film and in 2006 appeared on the Chicago Film Critics Association list of "The 100 Scariest Films Ever Made."
The Exorcism of Emily Rose grossed nearly $145 million at the box office.

Derrickson then directed the sci-fi spectacular The Day the Earth Stood Still, starring Keanu Reeves and Jennifer Connelly. Written by David Scarpa, the film was released in 2008 and earned approximately $235 million in worldwide box-office receipts.

Derrickson and Boardman's script for Devil's Knot was directed by Atom Egoyan. Based on a true story, the crime-drama stars Reese Witherspoon, Colin Firth and Kevin Durand.
