Deutschland im Frühjahr 1937 – Die Hindenburg, der ganze Stolz des Nazi-Regimes, startet zu ihrer Atlantiküberquerung. An Bord befindet sich auch Oberst Franz Ritter, der mit einem Spezialauftrag von höchster Ebene betraut wurde: Das SS-Hauptquartier hat erfahren, dass sich ein Saboteur unter den Passagieren befinden soll. Um einen möglichen Anschlag auf das gewaltige Luftschiff zu verhindern, soll Ritter den mutmaßlichen Attentäter ausfindig machen. Doch die Reihe der Verdächtigen an Bord ist lang. Ein Wettlauf gegen die Zeit beginnt. Kann Ritter den vermeintlichen Sabotageakt noch rechtzeitig vereiteln? (Verleiher-Text)
