Rebecca

Rebecca is a 10-year-old girl, the second of seven siblings, who lives in a rural town in Maine, USA, in the 19th century. At a time when the family is in dire straits, her father dies and her mother sends her to live with her two aunts, Miranda and Jane. Jane is charming, but Miranda is much too strict and doesn’t let her do anything. After a scandal involving a pink dress, Miranda insults the memory of her father and Rebecca decides to run out the window, with the intention of going back to her mother’s place.
