Monkey Shines is a film in which George A. Romero demonstrated that he can handle other themes besides zombies. He showcased his storytelling ability even on a subject that may seem relatively simple. It’s not exactly trivial, but you can imagine how it will turn out. Thanks to well-acted characters, a great monkey in the lead role, and precise direction, the film will entertain you, even though it may seem too long at first.
