BAD CAT ist ein Animationsfilm für junge Erwachsene über den unglaublich bösen Kater Shero und seine vulgäre Gang. Als tierische Bewohner der Straße beschäftigen sich Shero und seine Freunde mit allem, was jeder andere in der notorisch schmierigen Nachbarschaft von Istanbul möchte: Ausschweifungen mit den Weibchen, fressen und gelegentliche Trinkgelage. It’s truly surprising that the Turks have filmed something so rude, vulgar, creepy and drunk. What’s more, it’s about a good-for-nothing cat who talks more than he does anything else. Just like that, the entire movie stars with a death of two cats. Really, it isn’t for kids, which is apparent from the very beginning. I truly don’t know what to think. On one hand, I’m fascinated that the Turks are trying to lean towards the Western culture, which I can only approve. On the other hand, it wasn’t really all that funny. But I have to admit that the story, environments and animations were definitely way better than the American counterpart Sausage Party.
