Dvojí tváře (E06)

Ich war gespannt, wie diese Folge aussehen wird. Die langjährige Aufbaubegeisterung für die Kultur des tschechischen Stalinismus erhöht das Niveau ein bisschen ("Velká tavba" rulezzz). Michal Dlouhý brilliert wieder. Er hat – als einer der wenigen – eine perfekte Kombination der eingeübten Diktion / Mimik von Štěpánek und seiner eigenen Schauspielart kreiert. Manche Szenen mit Burian haben wieder eine sanfte Wirkung. Als Ganzes ist die Folge aber fürchterlich weitschweifig und inkonsequent. Die Pointe mit dem erzählerischen Rahmen geht ins Leere. Ich habe mir die Folge ohne Krämpfe, aber auch ohne das Gefühl einer Bereicherung bis zum Ende angeschaut. (20.02.2017)

"It might be better, therefore, if there were another episode, an episode zero of Bohéma, from the time of freedom, joy, free-thinking, and Avant-garde, so that we could see the walls grow from nothing. But I only know that now. I didn't know that when we started filming." With this quote from my interview with Robert Sedláček, I finally understood the whole story of Bohéma. He didn't know anything about that time, then he filmed it and only in retrospect did he develop an idea about the subject. This is a very sad calling card showing the arrogance of the creators to handle substances of a non-banal nature. (16.03.2017)
