Als zwei zehnjährige Jungen einen verlassenen Polizeiwagen auf einem Feld finden, nutzen sie die Gunst der Stunde und machen eine halsbrecherische Spritztour. Das Vergnügen nimmt ein jähes Ende, als der Sheriff der Kleinstadt (Kevin Bacon) entdeckt, dass sein Auto samt Kofferrauminhalt verschwunden ist. Ein originelles Crossover von einem Jungs-Abenteuer (mit Kinderaugen gesehen) und einem harten Thriller für Erwachsene mit Blut und Leichen. Interessant bizarr, unabhängig minimalistisch und die Handlung ist unvorhersagbar und spannend.

An unexpected genre mix. Boys’ adventure movie meets redneck psycho thriller. Bacon pretty minimalistic, but the boy duo is super. The action is a bit slow, and the ending is unexpectedly pessimistic. Very bold project, hats off.

I'm not completely crazy about this movie, but I still think it's a successful thriller, mainly thanks to two young boys who excellently handled their roles. The same goes for Kevin Bacon, who looks like a brilliant lunatic and also performs it well. The story is presented well enough not to be boring even at a slower pace.
