(ORF)

Season 1 (2014) (S01)
As a big fan of the brothers Joel and Ethan Coen, I wasn't sure if I should watch this series inspired by their gritty crime thriller Fargo. However, my fears were not justified at all, because the first season was a great success. I was pleased that the chilling atmosphere of the original film was not lost and the typical black humor was retained. The cast of the main roles could not have been better. Especially Billy Bob Thornton and Martin Freeman were so great that I'll have to think about including them among my favorites. ()
Season 2 (2015) (S02)
The second season is comparable in quality to the first one, so I enjoyed watching it again. The gripping thriller ride, punctuated with music that couldn't have been better chosen, captivated me so much that I suddenly stopped thinking about the prominent central characters from the first season of the series and fully focused on the troubles of the butcher and his quirky, determined wife, into which they delved destructively with each subsequent episode. The creators have gone back in time, spiced up the story with a proper mafia plot and I can't wait to see what they surprise and captivate me with next. ()
Season 3 (2017) (S03)
"The problem is not that there is evil in the world, the problem is that there is good. Because otherwise, who would care?" +++ Quite a crazy thought (spoken by the mouth of the biggest slimeball of the third season, V. M. Varga, played by the wonderfully loathsome David Thewlis), which is not entirely out of place. Once again, I was engrossed in a suspenseful story laced with typical black humor, this time with a great contribution from Ewan McGregor, whose double role of the feuding brothers fit him like a glove.
