We all carry certain dreams and secret wishes inside us. We know about some; some of them we'd like to suppress and some we allow to ourselves to be said out loud or even lived out. Heroes of our story will get a chance to wish something and their lives will aim in the directions they have determined. A chain of "accidents" will grant them what they'd wished and they get their chance to live it up. In our lives we are responsible not only for everything we do but also for what we say, what we think and what we are yearning for. Our mind's eye can never beat the imagination of the universe when the facts begin to fit together. (Verleiher-Text)

Englisch At times deliberately predictable, wrapped in an unnecessarily large amount of characters, but so personal that I eventually slowly succumbed to it. Although Karin Krajčo Babinská doesn't spare us even an unnecessary storyline, I have no problem with it, considering that I understand the essence of an author's pride. It just means it will take a peaceful screening at home (maybe next Christmas) for me to convince myself whether this attempt to convince me of the necessity of the entire wide scope was just a big con. 70% and rounding up after long hesitation. Even if only because of that damn song "Cesta" (Path), which is obviously irresistible for me even on the hundredth listen. ()

Englisch Empty of content, shallow in character modeling, yet pleasing to the eye. That's what happens when it’s a film from the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts. Not to mention that Karin Babinská is still one of the most talented filmmakers of the last few years. ()

Englisch Such a beautiful Christmas movie, which thinks of itself as very clever already in the screenplay, even though the characters are actually caricatures that the creators play with as they need, so it's actually a classic Christmas movie, with romance and the setting of the Czech Globe intertwined. I don't like Krajča, but he is a good actor, although Vica looks better. ()

Englisch This film is a little bit of everything: a bit melancholic, a bit absurd, a bit fairytale-like but also dramatic. Add in Richard Krajčo and his musical selection, which is an excellent fit for the movie. For the first time in my memory, Vica Kerekes here looks like she’s not trying to please everyone. Jakub Prachař soon learned that black hair doesn’t suit him and David Novotný looks like a Slavia Praha fan. I liked it; it did have the Christmas charm it promised. ()
