Die Astronauten-Crew um Colonel Gerard Bruchman ist auf der Mondbasis ARK stationiert. Nach einem Meteoritensturm sind von einer Minute zur nächsten ihre Leben gefährdet: Die Meteore haben Sporen mit sich getragen und haben die Fähigkeit, sich rasend schnell in beliebige Zellstrukturen zu reproduzieren. Zunächst wird die Astronautin Ava infiziert, die seltsame Anzeichen einer Schwangerschaft zeigt und von heftigen Visionen geplagt wird. Bereits nach wenigen Stunden gebärt sie eine Kreatur, die in Gestalt eines Besatzungsmitglieds zu einer tödlichen Gefahr wird. Wird es der Crew gelingen, den paranormalen Feind zu besiegen? This is how Prometheus would be like if it was as stupid as the loudest critics say and, if instead of Ridley Scott, it was directed by the creator of Battlefield Earth: A Saga of the Year 3000. One star… I don’t even know what for, maybe for the very well made ugly make-up.

"Stranded" is a typical B-movie that wants to take itself too seriously and pretends to be something more than just a rip-off of "Alien". It's not, even though the creators at least tried to come up with an original form of the monster, but they still stuck to the fact that certain stages are preserved. Simply put, innovation is not in fashion today, as it is too complicated, and it's easier to stick to the beaten path, hoping that there will be enough people who will pay for it.
