Panther II - Eiskalt wie Feuer

Gestern war ich kaum von der Arbeit gekommen, da schmiss ich mich schon ins Bett und schlief. Als ich aufwachte und man auf ČT 2 diesen Krimi zeigte, zögerte ich nicht. Panther II - Eiskalt wie Feuer hat toll in meine Stimmung gepasst, und mir persönlich kommen ja Krimis mit Delon viel mehr entgegen als solche mit Belmondo, und sie gefallen mir auch besser. Hier brillierte darüber hinaus auch Michael Serrault, von ihm ging wirklich Angst aus, und er wirkte, als fühle er überhaupt keine Emotion. (26.07.2016)

If they had let him lie, it would’ve been for the better. The wave of quality French crime films brought with it also this movie, which lacks both in action scenes and quality moments, in which French actors usually show us their most important acting tool – their eyes. As a result, this crime movie is neither good nor bad. It has a little bit of everything, but in the end it has nothing that would make it stand out. Fortunately, Alain Delon didn’t drown in this sea of mediocrity and in the end showed us why he played so many cop characters. But he might have been sick of this film at that point, because it all happened much faster than the audience would have imagined. (24.01.2015)
