Humanity's Last Stand! Most of the population has been wiped out by a viral outbreak. The victims have been altered into flesh-eating living dead. A surviving band of soldiers and civilians have taken refuge in a military barracks. News filters through from another military base of sanctuary elsewhere in Europe. But as the survivors attempt to make their escape they are besieged by zombies who decimate their ranks. The remaining few must embark across a death-ravaged landscape patrolled by wandering bandits and an army of living dead. What follows is a journey into hell and a desperate battle against all odds for the very survival of the human race. (Accent Film Entertainment)

World of the Dead: The Zombie Diaries is a British production that is not an outright insult to the zombie horror genre. However, it is rather an insult to filmmaking. Great and interesting movies are made differently from this. Unfortunately, this movie makes the whole genre look bad because it does not have enough strong-set pieces to keep it afloat. Only The Walking Dead television series actually does that.
