THE MOTEL LIFE is a searing and profound examination of brotherhood set in the timeless Sierra Nevadan frontier. Eine solide Schauspielbesetzung ist definitiv keine Garantie für ein hochwertiges Filmerlebnis. Dieser Film kann als gutes Beispiel dienen. Das Drehbuch ist langweilig, langweilig, langweilig und noch einmal langweilig. Vor einem Boo! haben den Film nur die Passagen mit den Zeichnungen und die einzige spannende Szene – der Boxkampf von Mike Tyson – gerettet. Falls sich jemand freiwillig fast anderthalb Stunden langweilen möchte, kann er sich gern diesen Streifen anschauen.
