Seit Truthahn Reggie vom Präsidenten zu Thanksgiving begnadigt worden ist, führt er ein sorgloses Leben als Spielgefährte der Präsidententochter. Sein militanter Artgenosse Jake will dem truthahnverachtenden Brauch zum Erntedanksfest ein Ende setzen. Kurzerhand entführt er Reggie und reist per Zeitmaschine mit ihm zurück ins Jahr 1621. Damals haben die Pilgerväter das erste Truthahn-Essen veranstaltet. Eine wilde Horde von Artgenossen hilft Reggie und Jake, dass endlich etwas anderes auf den Speiseplan kommt. (ORF)

This idea is not entirely bad, or at least there is some here, but still, from the beginning, you have a sense of how it will actually turn out, and to some extent, how it will go. There are emotions here, there is some humor, but still, you can't help but feel that you've seen it elsewhere. The jokes are ordinary, as are the emotional scenes. It's just an average movie that surprisingly doesn't impress with its animation.
