Ein solider Adrenalin-Film mir einem robusten Ton von rasenden BMWs und Porsches, gefährlichen Schießereien und einer Gaunerbande, die nicht allzu sehr zu sehen ist, aber dem (guten) Hauptschuft bei einer Nachtfahrt genug Probleme macht. Einfacher und direkter als der psychologische Film No Turning Back oder der Artfilm Drive. Für einen Actionfilm, der sich fast ausschließlich im Auto abspielt, ist es aber immer noch fetzig. Die visuelle Originalität und eine ausführlichere Darstellung der Situation vom Haupthelden wird von den Kameraaufnahmen unterstützt. Diese befinden sich im Auto oder während der Fahrt auf der Haube. Locke meets a successful variation on Getaway (2013) or more earthy (Baby) Driver, in which the form does not crush the content. And even the form is not that bad. It more that well gets by only with one night, empty streets, interiors of two cars, completely unused hands-free set and a stubborn Grill. The concept is so minimalist that there´s a risk of becoming bored of it. Fortunately, Rush is aware of this risk and so he chose more than reasonable footage and pace, i.e. so no worries, you won´t be annoyed. (23.10.2017)

A suspenseful genre piece that almost never leaves the vicinity of the car, with the great Grillo in the main role. In places, this reminds of Spielberg’s Duel with its uncompromising atmosphere. Moreover, it’s excellently written and the story seems believable; that doesn’t often happen in the movies of this day and age. An unexpected wowza. (03.12.2017)

Quite an enjoyable action ride, which shows that Netflix is quite keen on keeping its viewers entertained, sometimes with simpler films that have a pretty good form. In this film, we're basically in or around the car all the time, which is what gives it the right drive. The plot is probably not surprising, but it’s also not downright boring. (13.02.2018)
