If the surrounding world seems like a stranger, if you feel painfully alone in the middle of the endless rain, if your heart is especially heavy on a certain day, then on that day SOMETHING must happen. And if that something is love, than without doubt, it's love for the rest of your life. Trying to escape from a downpour, two people jumped onto an old trolley car. He-a young man, out of breath, in a rumpled, bloody jacket, barefoot. She-a willowy red-haired girl with a huge cello case on her shoulder, and also... barefoot. He was an "extreme" photographer, adventure-seeker, a tireless traveler and a hunter for "new, real faces and genuine emotions." She was a dreamy cello student at the Conservatory. Love which sparks on a trolley car is rarely long-lasting. But THIS love was special: stubborn, all encompassing and all-destroying. They entered a spacious, empty apartment. They cut the phone line, removed the doorbell, hung a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door. They got rid of everything that could connect them to the outside world. They needed to discover an answer to a question: "And what do YOU know about love?" (Verleiher-Text)

Filmchallenge 2018 - Ukraine. Wenn man sich 30 Filme mit einem Potenzial an Qualität auswählt, hat man trotzdem ein- oder zweimal Pech. Und das passierte bei mir im Fall der Ukraine. Nach dem originellen und bedeutenden Film The Tribe kam eine herbe Enttäuschung. Ich verstehe nicht, was uns der Herr Regisseur mitteilen wollte, wenn die zwei wenigstens sechzig Minuten ungezügelten Sex genossen hätten, wäre es auszuhalten gewesen. Leider ist dieses Tun, als sei das Kunst, misslungen. Ein Star für ein paar Zuckungen - ein paar hübsche Aufnahmen und eine sexy Rothaarige. Ich habe einen Anwärter auf den letzten Platz in meiner Challange.
