Zack (Seth Rogen) und Miri (Elizabeth Banks) kennen sich seit Ewigkeiten und wohnen auch fast schon genauso lange in einer WG zusammen. Beide sind chronisch pleite aber so schlimm wie im Moment war es noch nie. Als schließlich Strom und Wasser abgestellt werden, ist das Maß voll. Geld muss her, und zwar schnell! Aber wie? Die Sache liegt auf der Hand - ein selbstgedrehter Porno scheint die Lösung zu sein. In Nullkommanichts werden echte Profis gecastet und nach Ladenschluss heißt es in Zacks Coffeeshop von nun an: Kamera läuft! Bis zu dem Tag als auch Zack und Miri eine Liebesszene zum Besten geben sollen. Und da fangen die Probleme erst richtig an. (Universum Film)

Woran liegt es, dass Kevin Smith in ein paar Momenten in einem Film die romantische Saite in unseren Herzen stärker erklingen lässt als Julia Roberts und Meg Ryan zusammen? Und außerdem umgeben vom Humor im Stil "Muschis lecken" und "Schwänze lutschen"… Kevin Smith ist ein Licht in der Dunkelheit des künstlichen Hollywoods.

Brilliant comedy. I didn’t like Clerks very much, but this one is incredibly funny and entertaining. If it doesn’t become a classic here, it never will. 9/10

Even porn is art, it just has to be appreciated. But otherwise, it's a "traditional" Kevin Smith romance that breathes on the back of Chasing Amy. It’s definitely not the weakest Smith film, just a little different, or maybe a little more commercial, but it’s still its own, honest, and above all funny. And Elizabeth Banks is an angel.

At last a movie where I would have welcomed a couple minutes more. This way, although it is sexy, titillating foreplay that stretches your every nerve to the maximum, the act itself is too short to be at all satisfying. In other words, no orgasm. But so what, a lame dip is a dip all the same and lame Smith movie is still a Smith movie. However, I will never forgive Kevin for the absence of Bod and Jay (although Mewes is in fact Jay in Lester’s skin).

An average comedy, I can't see it any other way. Unfortunately, I don't like the kind of edgy humor that has you plumbing the depths of vulgarity and perversity, and overall Mr. Smith's sense of humor just doesn't suit me. There is a lack of intelligent wit and romance and as a drama I find it pretty worthless.

Kevin Smith often walks a fine line of taste and intentionally provokes the mainstream in his films. However, those who enjoyed the slackers in his early comedies and were not offended by the film Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back will easily enjoy Zack and Miri Make a Porno, even though Smith is being provocative with the title alone. I like his humor and I am open to it, but in this case, I came across boundaries that somewhat spoiled my enjoyment of the film. Smith knows when to slow down and tone down a situation that threatens to become outright vulgar, but paradoxically, I am more bothered by the lack of chemistry between the main characters and, above all, their strange relationship. I am willing to believe many things, but I don't intend to believe in romantic lovemaking in front of the camera and a bunch of onlookers. While I consider Chasing Amy to be an excellent romance, where the relationship between the two partners is believable despite all the twists and bizarre situations, in this film, it is an artificial and purposeless construction with occasional sympathetic humor and exaggeration. Overall impression: 55%.

Die beste romantische Komödie, die die Pornowelt zu bieten hat! Und die Selbstprojektion hat auch funktioniert, also habe ich gelacht, war gerührt und habe mich amüsiert. Und so sollte es auch sein. Und das Wort fuck ist nichts Schlimmes, geschweige denn unmoralisch :) Ein kommerziellerer Smith? Ach, kommen Sie. Ich liebe Traci Lords seit Hercules.

Dieser Film ist eine Kombination aus einem Porno, einem scharfen und einem noch schärferen Humor, Anspielungen auf die Popkultur und aus Romantik. Keiner hätte sie besser mischen können als Kevin Smith. Zack and Miri Make a Porno hat von allem ein bisschen was. Und das ist gut so. Hervorheben möchte ich die Pornoparodie von Star Wars, die Szene mit dem Kerl, der sich einen Kaffee holen möchte, obwohl der Schnellimbiss schon zu hat, und das Abituriententreffen nach vielen Jahren. Schade, dass der Film mit einem typisch romantischen Klischee endet. Dagegen konnte selbst Smith nichts tun. Zack and Miri Make a Porno bekommt von mir vier Sterne. Ich fand den Film unterhaltsam und (bis auf eine ekelige Sache – ich mag einfach keinen Fäkalhumor) nicht beleidigend.

One of my favorite Rogen films. In fact, it wasn’t Seth Rogen who entertained me the most in the movie but Craig Robinson. His character of a barista who is frustrated by his marriage is perfect and his lines just cracked me up: "Can't you see we talking, white?", " I just wanted to see some free titties." Kevin Smith uses all types of comedy again, including crass, but that’s what I’ve come to expect of him and I usually have a lot of fun, so I have zero objection to it. I was just a bit annoyed by the overly sweet romantic scenes. Thankfully, the Dutch rudder at the end saved me from diabetes.

This comedic family suits me immensely, mainly because there are actors here that one knows from previous Smith's films. I don't really like Rogen much lately, but he is still bearable here. I don't like the romantic aspect, but otherwise the humor works very well. Some scenes are absolute gems and you can't get them out of your head.
