Leonard hat Geburtstag. Zu diesem Anlass will Penny eine Überraschungsparty organisieren, doch Leonard ist nicht aus dem Haus zu bekommen. Howard hat schließlich die rettende Idee: Er täuscht eine allergische Reaktion auf Erdnüsse vor und fleht Leonard an, ihn ins Krankenhaus zu bringen. The sixteenth episode immediately became one of my favorites. Penny's blackmailing of Sheldon was great, it turned out that Howard is capable of anything with the right motivation, and one can only regret that occasionally there isn't a Sheldon-like character in stores where a well-informed salesperson is not found.
