From the end of the 1960s, Václav Bedřich worked on Bedtime Stories as well as series for grown-ups. Not known by many, this film is a parody of comic series from the 1930s. Wicked doctor Goad and his henchmen keep setting up unsuccessful traps for a couple of lovers. The film functionally uses the stiffness of cutout animation and naïve artistic style. (Anifilm)

This almost unknown 7-part series of animated films, which parodies the decadent genres of popular detective stories from the 1920s and 1930s, maintains high quality, interesting visual processing, and a style influenced both by the music used and the dark tones and distorted perspective of the backgrounds, which artist Vladimír Kladiva showcased in the first four parts of the series. Overall impression: 80%.
