Ein schöner Film von Ray Harryhausen, was vor allem eine perfekte Animation bedeutet. Die Puppen bewegen sich genauso wie echte Menschen, ihre Mimik ist bis ins Detail durchgearbeitet (manchmal ist sie aber ein bisschen theatralisch) und die Stimmung perfekt. Das Märchen ist natürlich sehr einfach, die Geschichte spielt sich meistens unter dem Turm oder in dem Turm ab. Das Ende in der Wüste ist aber bezaubernd.__PS: Haben Sie die Grimassen des Prinzen bei der Beobachtung der Hexe, die auf den Turm klettert, auch an Rowan Atkinson erinnert?

The climbing scene into the tower is once again an animated beauty. Yes, this is another of Ray Harryhausen's fairy tales. Yes, I am obsessed with him. What can you do about it? But above all, it is because in his animations, you feel something that escapes you in other puppet animations - life. Ray genuinely tried to make his puppets move as realistically as possible. And he succeeded even in the case of fairy tales. "The Story of 'Rapunzel'" doesn't stand out in terms of the story, it is a classic adaptation, but once again, it is the animation that makes it an above-average spectacle.
