Teds Eltern kommen für ein Wochenende nach New York, und Barney will die beiden um jeden Preis beeindrucken. Er verbringt deshalb mit Teds Vater einen Abend in einer Bar. Zu später Stunde küsst Teds Vater die Kellnerin. Als Ted dies zu Ohren kommt, bemüht er sich darum, dass seine Eltern den Vorfall klären, und ist über die äußerst gelassene Reaktion seiner Mutter völlig irritiert. (ORF)

I'm all about those multi-perspective plots, and the third episode was hilarious, so no doubt it scored five stars from me. The creators nailed it by showing that you can tackle relationship stuff without ditching the humor, and they served up a hefty dose of it. Too bad they couldn't always stick with that vibe. Barney Stinson stole the show again. / Lesson learned: Learn to talk about unpleasant things too.
