This iconic film unfortunately represents the only collaboration between the two Jiřís. With kind irony and humour taken to the next level by Miroslav Horníček's brilliant narration, the film portrays a strange friendship between an old writer and his spider. But this unlikely symbiosis ends when the spring comes along with a new acquaintance who isn't particularly fond of spiders. (Anifilm)
