Jemand, der über mich wacht (S01E04)

While watching the fourth episode, I finally felt like I was enjoying it, so I'll go as high as three stars this time. Was this episode good? Let me answer that for you. It wasn't. However, the creators have done their best so far to get me on their side. They didn't quite succeed, but it was an honest attempt, and I give them credit for that. What I enjoyed the most was watching them come up with more and more subplots to mask the fact that they were losing track of the main one. Plus, none of the characters seemed to remember how it all started, so most of them went on acting in a weirdly illogical way. I am becoming increasingly convinced that when someone beats a toddler to death in an American show, it's presented as something that happens once in a while, but when someone is accused of racism, they can never live it down. Maybe it's not like that. I don't know; I don't live there, but it feels that way. / Lesson learned: Paranoia can be annoying, but it won't kill you in most cases. (27.02.2023)
