Immer mehr verstrickt er sich in ein unentwirrbares Netz aus diffusen Ängsten und realen Bedrohungen, während es in seiner bizarren Nachbarschaft zu makabren Morden kommt. Kafkaesk-morbider Thriller mit effektvoll verwobenen Versatzstücken aus Filmen wie “BladeRunner”, “Matrix” und einer faszinierenden Farb- und Bildästhetik. “Paranoia 1.0” ist ein ebenso fesselnder wie düsterer Science-Fiction-Thriller, der seine Wirkung nicht zuletzt aus einer brillanten Bildgestaltung erzielt. This virus is a real nuisance and doesn't try to hide it at all. What's more, there is no meaningful resolution at the end of it all. As a result, the movie is an indigestible oddity that has a promising concept, a few original ideas (courier, dirty jokes, microbrews), but as a whole, it didn't turn out well. I would bet my life on the fact that the script was based on some amateur sci-fi short story because it would obviously work great on paper. However, the movie turned into an annoying farce.
