Die Geisterjäger sind wieder im Einsatz. Rosaroter Schlabberschleim, der sich in den U-Bahn-Tunneln aufgestaut hat und der Geist des bösen Fürsten Vigo bedrohen New-York-City. Diesmal heißt es für Venkman, Stantz und Spengler, ein Baby aus den Fängen der Geister zu befreien. Denn Vigo hat sich in den Kopf gesetzt, ausgerechnet in Gestalt dieses Babys wieder auf die Welt zu kommen. (ORF)

About the continuation of Ghostbusters, basically the same can be said as about the first one. The same director, producer, and cast. Very similar plot and the same audience. Just like the first one, the second movie had a very decent commercial response. It is a professionally made studio film, which can only be criticized for lacking the originality of the first part. Overall impression: 70%.

No, this simply isn't it anymore. It's not as great and lively, it doesn't have such a great impact, something even repeats itself here and it's very noticeable how they tried but it just didn't work out. It's not successful and I almost dare to say that it's rushed too quickly. It's a pity because this quartet definitely deserves something better. Well, unfortunately, it won't happen anymore. Certainly not in this lineup.
