Biografie

Diego Lerman (b. 1976, Buenos Aires) studied in Buenos Aires and Cuba. In 2003 he wrote, directed and co-produced (with Lita Stantic) his first feature film, Suddenly (Tan de Repente) which was awarded many prizes at various international film festivals, including the Silver Leopard in Locarno. That same year Lerman was one of the directors selected by Cinefondation to receive support for his new script, Meanwhile (Mientras Tanto). In 2004 the script was awarded the Opening Shot Prize for Best Screenplay (Cinefondation and Fondation Gan). Lerman also directed six short films including La Prueba (1999) and The War of the Gymnasiums (2005). Meanwhile is his second feature film.
