Mikkel Nørgaard (b.1974, Denmark) graduated in direction from the National Film School of Denmark, 2001. Prior to film school, Nørgaard assisted on a number Danish feature films, and after graduating he worked with Nikolaj Arcel and Thomas Vinterberg. Nørgaard's feature film debut CLOWN (2010) is based on the popular television sitcom of the same name, which he also directed. The series received Best Comedy award at the national TV-award show two years running. Prior to this he directed the TV-show LIVE FROM BREMEN (2009) and episodes of the crime series ANNA PIHL placed high on the Top-10.
