Biografie

Mandy Walker has been honored in her native Australia for her work on a wide range of films, most recently winning a Film Critics Circle of Australia (FCCA) Award and a Satellite Award for her work on Baz Luhrmann's epic "Australia," starring Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman. She was also named the Cinematographer of the Year at the 2008 Hollywood Film Festival and won a prestigious Lucy Award from Women in Film. She had first worked with Luhrmann and Kidman on the famed Chanel No. 5 campaign.

In 2002, Walker was recognized by her peers with an Australian Cinematography Society (ACS) Award of Distinction for her work on "Lantana." That same year, she also received dual FCCA Award nominations for her cinematography on that film, as well as "Australian Rules." She earlier won an Australian Film Institute (AFI) Award for Best Achievement in Cinematography for 1996's "Parklands," for which she also won her first ACS Award of Distinction. The following year, she garnered both AFI and FCCA Award nominations for "The Well."

In 2004, Walker earned an Independent Spirit Award nomination for her work on the true-life drama "Shattered Glass." Her credits also include "Walk the Talk" and "Love Serenade," which won the Camera d'Or at the 1996 Cannes Film Festival.
