Francesco Barilli

Francesco Barilli has worked as an actor, director, screenwriter and painter. A descendant of a famous family of artists, he began his career when he was twenty, when filmmaker Antonio Pietrangeli gave him a small role in a movie shot in his hometown. Barilli got his first starring role in 1964 and thanks to another filmmaker from Parma, Bernardo Bertolucci, who directed him in Before the Revolution.
