Biografie

After a university degree course in English and art history, Fitoussi joined the Conservatoire Européen d'Écriture Audiovisuelle (CEEA). Where he made several documentaries and short features including Illustre Inconnue and Bonbon au poivre ,which earned him a nomination for Cesar Award for Best Short Film in 2007. The same year, he directed his first long film La Vie d'artiste, which won the Prix Michel-d'Ornano for best first film. In 2010, his second long film was released, Copacabana, starring Isabelle Huppert and her daughter Lolita Chammah in the lead parts as mother and daughter. It was selected at Cannes Critics' Week. Fitoussi directed in 2012, Pauline Detective, a stylized pop comedy with Sandrine Kiberlain then made in 2014 La Ritournelle (Paris Follies) starring Isabelle Huppert and Jean-Pierre Darroussin ,who received both critical and public success. Mum Is Wrong, with Emilie Dequenne and the young Jeanne Jestin, is its fifth feature.
