Javier Ávila

Javier has a degree in Audiovisual Media from the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California. He has been a recipient of the IMCINE Film Creators Incentive in scriptwriting and a FONCA grant holder. His first documentary, Niña Sola, was part of the official selection of IDFA, the Morelia International Film Festival, the Lima Film Festival, Dok. Fest Munich, FICUNAM, among others. Zona Norte is his second documentary feature.
