She began as a screenwriter with Pídele Cuentas al Rey (Audience Award at the SEMINCI). Later came titles such as La Boda de Rosa (Alma Award for Best Dramatic Comedy, 2021), Sin ti, La vida empieza hoy (Critics’ Award at Malaga) and the tv movie 22 Angeles. She received the Goya for Best Screenplay and the Best European Screenplay Award for Te doy mis ojos, co-written with Iciar Bollaín. She directed the documentary La Cabeza de José. She is director of the Escuela de Guion de Madrid’s online courses and co-director of the Master’s Degree in Screenwriting and Playwriting at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, as well as teaching screenwriting at the ECAM and was a member of the Board of the Spanish Film Academy (2017-2020).
