For 14 years, she has worked as a documentary director in the production companies that she also manages, in Madrid and Paris. Her work, mainly focused on women and migration isues, has been seen and awarded at numerous festivals. Her international prestige as a documentary filmmaker is especially significant in the Arab world, where she has shot more than 25 documentaries. She has produced and directed content for networks such as Aljazeera Documentary Channel, Aljazeera English, ARTE France, Public Sénat and France 3. In the summer of 2020, her first feature film, Cartas Mojadas, was premiered in the official section of the Malaga Festival, with the support of Isabel Coixet and funding from the ICAA and the Aljazeera Documentary Channel. Cartas Mojadas was nominated for the Goya Awards 2021 as best documentary film. From Madrid, Paula also manages La Morada de Malasaña, a multipurpose space with a small cinema for public and private viewing.
