Antti J. Jokinen

Antti Jokinen is a film director and screenwriter. In 2016 Jokinen completed his fourth feature film Flowers of Evil. The film was selected to Shanghai Film Festival, where Jokinen won the Best Director Award. In 2015, Jokinen wrote and directed a film based on Katja Kettu’s award-winning novel The Midwife. It’s a love story of the post-World War II conflict between Finland and Germany. The film has been awarded at several film festivals. In Finland, The Midwife was the most-watched Finnish drama in 25 years. In 2012, Jokinen wrote and directed Purge. The film is based on Sofi Oksanen’s award-winning novel. Purge won five Jussi awards and was a Finnish Oscar nominee. Jokinen’s The Resident premiered in 2011.

Antti J. Jokinen has also directed over a hundred music videos for big artists including Beyoncé, Will Smith, Eminem, Missy Elliot, Korn, Kelly Clarkson and Celine Dion.
