Biografie

Atle Knudsen was educated at the University of Bergen, majoring in television studies. Since 1995 he has directed several TV-series for children, among them the ghostly Uhu! (2002) and Jul i Svingen (2006), a premium example of a long-lasting Norwegian tradition of december advent series' for children, with daily episodes from december 1st., leading up to a finale on Christmas Eve. Knudsen also produced the higly popular Den unge Fleksnes in 2010, another successful advent series.

In 2009 he made his debut as a feature film director with the family comedy ORPS - The Movie. The film was based on, and a continuation of, the popular ORPS childrens television series. Besides working in film and television, Knudsen has also worked as a director for the Grimmsborken Theater.
