Gabriel Guzmán

Biografie

He graduated as an Industrial and Systems Engineer from the Monterrey Tech, but he was always interested in filmmaking. In 1998 he worked in the production department at Lightstorm Entertainment in Santa Monica, California. In 1999 he studied audiovisual production in Detroit, Michigan. He took direction and screenwriting workshops at the EICTV in Cuba. He was founder of Grupo IMAGYX, where he has written, produced and directed advertisement spots, video clips and documentaries. He wrote and directed the short films Editio (2002) and La Nuera de Don Filemón (2010). He wrote and directed the series pilots Dos Agentes (2007), and Roommates (2011), and two episodes of Morir en Martes (2011), and two of #hoysoynadie (2012). He founded the Film Industry Day and the Council to Promote Creative Media and New Media Industry. His another production is the feature film Hecho en China (2012). In 2012 he won the Promocine Nuevo León grant to produce the short film El Nuevo Hombre Invisible.
