Galina Miklínová is a director, animator and illustrator. She attended Prague's Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design, studying at the school's Film and TV Graphics Studio under Jiří Barta (1991–97); she also took an animation course at Humberside University in Great Britain in 1995. She graduated with The Cinema (1997), which won a series of awards at home and abroad.
Her animated work has screened at a number of international film festivals (Stuttgart, Annecy, Rio de Janeiro, Tampere and São Paulo). In addition to her animation skills, Miklínová is also a book illustrator and has been working with poet and writer Pavel Šrut for many years. She has received various awards and nominations for her illustrations, including the Most Beautiful Czech Book Award, a competition held annually by the Ministry of Culture.
