Eduard Bordukov (1979) is a Russian screenwriter, director and former top athlete. He graduated in mining electrical engineering at the Moscow State Mining University. At the same time he was devoting himself to sport; he was one of the leading Russian athletes in long-distance running. Later, he took a course in film directing at the Artkino film school in Moscow. He made the short films Alone (Odin, 2010), Crisis (Krizis, 2011) and Aréna (2012), and made his feature debut with the drama The Pitch (Korobko, 2015).
