Arsen Anton Ostojić (b. 1965) graduated in film direction in 1990 from Zagreb's Academy of Dramatic Arts, and in 1994 he earned an MFA in filmmaking from New York University. He has directed two feature films, a play, and several award-winning docs and shorts. He worked on 20 feature films in Europe and the USA as assistant director and producer, and he has lectured in production in Zagreb, New York, and Salzburg. Selected filmography: Decorations (1989, short doc, Gold Medal for Directing at the Belgrade Documentary and Short FF), The Bird Lover (1993), Life Drawing (2001, short, Best Short Film Award at the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival). His feature debut A Wonderful Night in Split won 23 awards, was nominated for the 2004 European Film Academy Discovery Award, and was declared the best Croatian film of the past five years. No One's Son is Ostojić's second feature.
