Biografie

Lenny Abrahamson (b. 1966, Dublin, Ireland) began making short video films for Trinity Video Society, the production company he cofounded while studying physics and philosophy at Trinity College Dublin; he graduated with honors in 1991. He has shot numerous commercials both in Ireland and the UK. In 2004 his feature debut Adam & Paul earned Best Debut at the Galway Film Fleadh and, a year later, the Grand Prix at the Sofia IFF. In 2007 he followed it up with Garage, screened in the Directors' Fortnight at the Cannes IFF and awarded a number of Irish film and television prizes. In that same year he shot the four-part miniseries "Prosperity" for RTE television. The film What Richard Did was included in the program of the 2012 Toronto IFF. He is at present working on multiple projects for Element Pictures production company.
