Biografie (1)
Born in 1936, Med Hondo (born Mohamed Abid Hondo) was a Mauritanian director, screenwriter and actor who emigrated to France in 1959. In 1967 he directed Soleil Ô, for which he won the Pardo d’oro in Locarno in 1970. He also made Nous aurons toute la mort pour dormir (1977), which was screened in Berlin, Lumière noire (1994) and Fatima, l’Algérienne de Dakar (2004).
