Biografie

Nira Park founded Big Talk Pictures in 1995, through which she produced both series of Simon Pegg and Jessica Hynes' award-winning comedy Spaced, directed by Edgar Wright; all three series of the double BAFTA award-winning sitcom Black Books; and the comedy/drama series Free Agents.
Following the success of Spaced, Ms. Park went on to develop and produce the 2004 hit movie Shaun of the Dead,collaborating again with Mr. Pegg and Mr. Wright, for which she received a Carl Foreman Award nomination at the BAFTAs. Shewas also selected as one of Variety's "10 Producers to Watch." In 2006, she produced Ringan Ledwidge's debut feature Gone for Working Title Films and Universal Pictures.
As Edgar Wright's producing partner, she reteamed with him and Simon Pegg on 2007's Hot Fuzz; and produced his Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, starring Michael Cera, which was released worldwide in August 2010 to outstanding critical acclaim.
Ms. Park has also executive-produced several series of BBC Three's hit sitcom Him & Her and Channel 4's Friday Night Dinner, written and produced by Robert Popper. In December 2010, she was the recipient of the Producer of the Year Award at the U.K. Women in Film and TV Awards.
She produced a diverse slate of feature films. 2011 saw the release of Paul, penned by and starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost and directed by Greg Mottola for Working Title/Universal. This was followed by Attack the Block, Joe Cornish's debut feature. The film earned several awards including Audience Awards at the Sitges, SXSW, LAFF and Fantasia International Film Festivals. Ben Wheatley's Sightseers had its world premiere at the 2012 Cannes International Film Festival with a Special Screening during the Directors' Fortnight section and continues to win awards internationally.
The psychological horror film In Fear, with direction and story by Jeremy Lovering, made for StudioCanal/Film4, is scheduled for release in August 2013. It premiered at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival.
After wrapping The World's End, Ms. Park was completing post-production on Cuban Fury, a dance comedy starring Nick Frost and directed by James Griffiths, for release in the U.K. in January 2014.
