David Shapiro

Prolific filmmaker and visual artist. He wrote and produced Finishing Heaven (2009), for which he was nominated for an Emmy. He co-directed, wrote and produced Keep the river on your right (2001), based on Tobias Schneebaum's book, winning the Independent Spirit Award for Best New Director, and was shortlisted for an Academy Award. The MoMA, the Tate and the Brooklyn Museum have exhibited his visual art.
