Tomasz Siwinski was born in 1982 in Poland. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Pozna (Poland) and Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow (Poland), where he completed his MA studies at the Painting Department and the Animation Film Studio of Jerzy Kucia. He participated in a scholarship programme at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore (USA) in 2005. During his studies he animated and directed two short films: Tv-set and Little black square. His films ware presented at numerous festivals, e.g. in Clermont- Ferrand, Utrecht, Zagreb, Uppsala, Stuttgart and Krakow. From 2007 to 2012 he was working as a freelance animator and a painter. Siwinski is a member of the international association of animators ASIFA and The Polish Filmmakers Association. Blue room is his first film after graduation. Currently he lives and works in Warsaw.
