Sherif El Bendary

Sherif El Bendary (b. 1978) studied filmmaking at the High Institute of Cinema in Cairo, and has taught at the institute since 2008. His early shorts RISE AND SHINE (2006, DIFF) and AT DAY'S END (2008, DIFF) have won 29 awards between them. His short CURFEW (2011) was part of the collective feature 18 DAYS at Cannes and he was at DIFF 2015 with DRY HOT SUMMERS.
